Gentle support. On their terms.
Animal Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that offers animals a quiet space to relax, rebalance, and receive support in whatever way feels comfortable to them.
There is no restraint, no expectation to lie still, and no requirement for physical touch. Your animal is free to move around, sleep, eat, play, come closer—or simply keep their distance.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese energy practice commonly described as working with spiritually guided life-force energy.
As a Reiki practitioner, I don't give an animal my own energy. Instead, I serve as a channel for Reiki, creating a calm, supportive space where the animal can engage with the energy in their own way.
Reiki is always offered rather than imposed. The animal remains in control of how close they come, whether they want physical contact, and how they participate in the session.
What can Animal Reiki support?
Stress & Anxiety
Separation anxiety, fireworks and loud noises, travel, environmental changes, veterinary visits, or other stressful situations.
Physical Challenges
Gentle complementary support during recovery from injury or surgery, arthritis, aging, or other physical challenges.
Emotional Healing
Support for animals with histories of abuse, abandonment, neglect, trauma, or significant life changes.
Behavior & Adjustment
A calming environment for animals experiencing fear-based behaviors, hyperactivity, difficulty settling, or adjustment to a new home.
Senior & End-of-Life Care
Quiet, compassionate support for senior animals and animals nearing the end of life.
And it isn't just for pets
Reiki can be offered to horses, farm animals, therapy animals, sanctuary animals, wildlife and other animals.

The Animal Leads

Their body. Their space. Their choice.
I don't ask an animal to behave a certain way during Reiki.
They don't have to sit beside me. They don't have to be touched. They don't even have to acknowledge me.
Some animals come closer. Some fall asleep. Some move around the room. Some eat, play, watch from a distance, or leave and return.
All of those responses are okay.
My job isn't to make an animal receive Reiki in a particular way. My job is to offer it and respect what they choose.
Yes, I'm giving reiki to a manatee

What happens during a session?
There’s really nothing your animal needs to do.
Before we begin, we’ll talk briefly about your animal, what’s been going on, and anything you’d like me to know.
Then I settle into the space and begin offering Reiki. Your animal is free to participate however they choose. They may sleep, wander around, eat, play, come closer, keep their distance—or completely ignore me.
For in-person sessions, I typically begin hands-off and allow your animal to decide whether they want to come closer or invite physical contact.
For distance sessions, we'll connect through Zoom so I can see your animal and make an initial connection. After that, they're free to wander away from the camera, rest, or do whatever feels natural.
There is no “right” way for an animal to receive Reiki.
